Deification
From MormonWiki.org
Deification deals with the understanding of whether or not man can become a God. Sometimes confused with theosis in the Eastern Orthodox Church, Mormons understand this doctrine quite differently. Mormon theology actually teaches that man has the potential to some day become as God is, that is, possessing all of the essential attributes to be considered God. The process by which one becomes God is also known as eternal progression. The path through eternal progression can be seen in the picture above.
