[edit] Removal 5-1-08
I removed the following:
- Christians sincerely want the best for Mormons and desire God to be glorified in truth and in spirit. Many Christians have shed tears for Mormons, and as part of a grassroots movement have sought to help bring truth to Mormons in love. Your best friend is the one who gives you the most truth. If the Bible is trustworthy, if traditional Christianity is true, if Mormon idolatry is offending the only God of all reality, and if Mormons are going to hell, then it only makes sense that we would strive to help Mormons as they unknowingly stagger on the way to destruction. Instead of demonizing us Christians as "hate-mongering" and "venomous", we welcome every Mormon to give us a fair hearing. We would be glad to give you a fair hearing too, just as we often give Mormon missionaries an opportunity to share their offensive message about the Great Apostasy, the nature of God as being of the human species, and personal worthiness a key basis for entering into the presence of God.
This sounds too personal (I even changed some of the wording from "we" to "they"). I understand the intent of this paragraph, but if this is to be an encyclopedic wiki then I just don't see how this should remain in the article. Maybe you can link to some personal testimonies of evangelists to LDS to serve this purpose. Jordan Barrett (talk) 18:10, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
