Talk:Adulation of Joseph Smith
From MormonWiki.org
I know that the missionaries singing praise to Smith is sickening, but I do wonder how that can represent the entire LDS church. Sadly, Christians do horrible things, but I don't think they represent me. I'm thinking we shouldn't have that video here. Thoughts? Jpb (talk) 09:18, 5 August 2006 (PDT)
- I don't think the links all have to be generally representative of everyone in the church. Rather, they can also represent what the church teachings themselves have the ability to foster. In any case, I would venture to say that most Mormons would feel comfortable singing along with them. -Aaronshaf 10:51, 7 August 2006 (PDT)
I don't think that missionaries singing praises of Joseph Smith is wrong or sickening. I think that it is merely an expression of gratitude or admiration of the man and his work. This video should remain. It does represent the entire LDS church, at least those members who have testimonies of the truthfullness of the work and the Prophet Joseph Smith. --Pahoran513 12:54, 5 August 2006 (PDT)
